Patience Jonathan, wife of Nigeria’s
President Goodluck Jonathan has returned home from a three-day trip to Geneva
to mourn her late mother, Charity Oba.
Mrs
Jonathan, who returned to Abuja on Wednesday, was in Geneva to receive an award
as the Online Child Protection Champion from the International
Telecommunication Union.
President
Goodluck Jonathan was joined by former military Head of State, Retired Gen.
Abdulsalami Abubakar and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP,
Anthony Anenih, to receive his wife.
The
bereaved arrived into the warm embrace of her husband at the Presidential
Villa, Abuja at exactly 9.40pm.
Other
dignitaries who joined the president to receive his wife were his mother,
Eunice, wife of Bayelsa governor, the ministers of transport, aviation, power,
science and technology and culture and tourism.
The
Minister of Power, Chinedu Nebo, later led the gathering in a prayer session
for the repose of the deceased’s soul, while Anenih gave the closing remarks.

Is it just me or do some of these responses come across like
they are written by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are
