Lagos Govt Removes Oba Ogunji Statue, Dismantles Roundabout For Agege Flyover Bridge

 The Lagos state government yesterday removed the popular statue of late Olu of Agege kingdom, Oba Ogunji to pave the way for Agege Pencinema flyover bridge.

It was learned that the statute removal was done by the men ofLagos state public works commission.

It would be recalled that Lagos state government has promised to complete the precast/prestressed dual carriage bridge before December 2018.

Governor Okorocha's Aide Reveals The Cost Of The Controversial 8 Statues In Imo (Pic)

 Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on Electronic Media, Dr. Ebere Nzeworji, has disclosed that the governor approved between N400,000 and N500, 000 for the building of each of the eight statues, contrary to the opinion of many that N520 million was spent on each.

Nzeworji, on the Peoples’ Voice at Darlying FM in Owerri, said it was not true that millions were spent on erecting statue.

He also said that the government had taken delivery of new equipment for the specialist hospital in the state and 21 doctors were currently in the hospital to deliver heath care service to residents.

Rumor has it that the army’s intelligence chief announced to Mugabe that his wife, Grace Mugabe was sleeping around with the young ministers in Mugabe’s cabinet.

Ahead of his meeting with army officials to discuss his exit, Mugabe was ‘wailing profusely’ and saying that he wished he could speak to his dead wife, Sally Mugabe, and his late son, Michael Nhamodzenyika, who died from cerebral malaria in 1966 at the age of three.

‘He spends most of his time looking at an old photograph of Sally. It is terrible,’ the aide said of Mugabe’s first wife, who died of kidney failure in 1992.

Keke Driver Who Returned Nearly N600K Forgotten By Woman Gets Rewarded (Photos)

One Bashir Usman, a tricyclist/Keke Napep rider that stays in Narguta area in Jos, Plateau state has been rewarded for his honesty after returning the sum of 582, 400 (Five Hundred and eighty two thousand four hundred naira) a trader identified as Mama Ejimeh forgot in his tricycle earlier this month.

The man on realizing the money in his tricycle went back to Yan Kwallli where he picked her and traced her shop to the delight of Mama Ejimeh who had been in tears.

The Keke driver who pays a monthly fee for the loan he collected for his tricycle - was hosted by a member of the state house of assembly where he was rewarded with some cash and also a new tricycle as his own to continue his business.

Drug Addict Destroys Car In Lagos, Causes Accident After Taking 'Black Mamba'

 A suspected drug addict was today tied up by residents, after going berserk around Agungi, Lekki, Lagos.

While giving details of what happened, Ebi, an eyewitness, said: "This morning, I came out from the house for church and there was this guy on the road displaying. The information we gathered was that he took "black mamba" and this is the effect. .
He jumped on our car and used his hand to break down the front glass of the Taxify and even caused an accident on that road. Before we left, he was tied up by some people at Agungi, Lekki, Lagos."

It was like a movie scene when some men confessed to the death of one Thomas Ezeugwu, a business man residing in Lagos who suddenly slumped and died on Oct. 6 in the morning. The deceased's corpse was brought home to his village at Nkpologwu town in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area in Enugu state for funeral rites and burial, when the mourners came out as if being pursued by the ghost of the dead man and confessed how they planned and killed Thomas.

It was gathered that men confessed to going to Omor town of Anambra State to get the charm which they used in killing the man, who according to them was about to sell 20 plots of land without their consent and at that they planned to kill him.

They went further to reveal that they contacted two native doctors who helped them prepare charms that killed the man.

The villagers bounced on them and almost took their lives before the intervention of the Police.

Children Who Were Kidnapped And Sold N1.1million Reunite With Family. Photos

 Imo state police command has handed over five year old Francis and two year old Chinaza to the legitimate mother,Abigail Uka. The babies were sold for N1.1m in Enugu state after they were stolen through the connection of a relative in Uzoagba in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state.

This was after the mother of the children was attacked by the criminal gang numbering about seven in August.

The Imo state commissioner of police who was elated for the success recorded - handed over the recused children to the mother in the presence of the grandparents of the children, through the command's Public Rations Officer, Andrew Enwerem.

Ekiti Assembly Approves Death Penalty For Cultists

A bill seeking to prohibit the activities of secret cults scaled third reading at the Ekiti State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

The substance of the bill is the prescription of the death penalty for those found guilty of breaching the law in that regard.

Persons found guilty of aiding and abetting cultism would also bag life imprisonment.

All that is left is for it to be signed into law by the governor.

The new provision was an amendment to the law against cultism, enacted by Ayo Fayose during his first tenure as governor of the state.

The law had provided a seven-year imprisonment for anyone convicted of cult activities, whereas those aiding and abetting the act were to be imprisoned for five years.

Bobrisky Speaks: "Why I Was Arrested, Police Taking Me To Abuja, My Phone Seized"

Bobrisky has spoken out for the first time since he was arrested in Lekki, Lagos on November 7th, 2017.

Kenyan Governor Dies In A Ghastly Motor Accident (Photos From The Scene)

Governor of Nyeri, Wahome Gakuru died in a ghastly motor accident in in Kabati on the Thika-Kenol highway.

The governor and his driver were rushed to Thika Level 5 Hospital and were set to be flown to Nairobi Hospital for further treatment.

Gakuru becomes the second Nyeri Governor to pass on while in office after the late Nderitu Gachagua who died last year in February at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London while undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Governor Gakuru, who is the former vision 2030 director, was travelling to Nairobi for a talk show on Inooro TV.

Lil Kesh Deported From USA

Nigerian indigenous rapper, Keshinro Ololade popularly known as Lil Kesh might not be entering the United State Of America anytime soon, as he was denied entry at the point of Entry with the immigration officers in USA.

The star visa was canceled and was immediately put on the next flight back to Nigeria.

The reason for the deportation is not available at the moment, but this will be made available as soon as possible.
