Nigeria Vs Cameroon – Primate Ayodele Prophesies

The General Overseer of the Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele Babatunde has prophesied that Nigeria will beat Cameroon in the World Cup qualifying match on September 1, in Uyo.

Ayodele stated that the match will be won because of Nigerian supporters club, not minding the mismanagement of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by President Amaju Pinnick.

In his words, “Nigeria should be prayerful, watchful and you know that Nigeria can beat Cameroon if they are very serious. Nigeria must be at the World Cup.

“They must be at the African Nations Cup. They must come to people like us for prayer.”

“Pinnick is not doing the right thing. I don’t want to look at Pinnick’s mismanagement of leadership.

“It is not because of Pinnick, but because of the majority of Nigerians who are lovers of football, Nigeria must win.

“The World Cup ticket is a must. The Nations Cup is a must for Nigeria also.”

Eucharia Anunobi Confirms Son's Death: "My Son Has Gone To Be With The Lord"

Earlier today, the country woke up to the sad news of actress Eucharia Anunobi losing her teenage son to the cold hands of death on Tuesday.

Her son Raymond, who also happened to be her only child of the actress reportedly died from Sickle Cell Anaemia issues.Speaking with TheNet.ng on the passing of the teenager, Eucharia said:

He Was Carrying Abominable Objects - Oba Of Benin Reacts To Chief's Humiliation

The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, has denied ordering the humiliation and banishing of one of his chiefs from the kingdom.

A video emerged online during the week showing some chiefs forcing a half Unclad man identified as one of the chiefs out of the palace for allegedly disrespecting the Oba.

The Oba has ordered an investigation into the alleged manhandling of the elderly man.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Desmond Agbama, the Oba dismissed the claim that the man was a Benin chief.

Nollywood Actress and Minister Eucharia Anunobi Loses Only Child

Nollywood veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi who is now a woman of God has lost her only child Raymond Egwu.

Young Raymond was born with Sickle Cell Anemia and was said to have died early yesterday morning from complications associated with the disorder.

Raymond was born in 2002 by Eucharia and her former husband, Charles Egwu after their marriage in year 2000 and in 2007, Charles according to what Eucharia Anunobi told the press then, abandoned home, leaving her with their olny child, while she was outside Lagos shooting.

According to close sources, Raymond had turned 15 recently and his loving mother had done all in her power to give her only child a beautiful birthday party to show her love and devotion.

 May the young sweet little boy rest in perfect peace! Amen.

Protest Going On In Port Harcourt Over The Escaped Murderer Of 8-Year-Old Girl (Pics)

 There appears to be a protest currently going on in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to a twitter user who is live-tweeting the event, he claims it is in regard to the UNIPORT student who  absconded from police custody after he was arrested for murdering an 8 year old girl for ritualistic purpose.

The twitter user reports that police have thrown tear gas in the area as roads around eliozu junction, the area of the protest have been blocked.

Eid-El-Kabir: Sultan Of Sokoto Declares September 1st Sallah Day

The Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared September 1st 2017, as Eid-el-Kabir, Sallah day. The announcement is contained in a statement signed and released by the Chairman, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs to the Sokoto Sultanate Council, Prof. Sambo Junaidu today August 23rd. According to Junaidu, the declaration followed the sighting of the new moon of Zulhijja on Tuesday, August 22nd.

“The advisory committee in conjunction with the National Committee on Moon Sighting received various reports on moon sighting across the country confirming the sighting of the new moon of Zulhijja on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017,’’ it said.

The statement added that Muslims in Nigeria would observe Friday, September 1st as Sallah day.

NBC- We Did Not Ban Olamide, Davido And 9ice’s Songs

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has refuted widespread media reports that it has banned five Nigerian songs having tagged them as “Not to be Broadcasted.”

Premium Times reported on Tuesday that the Commission released a list, saying it has banned the five songs from being aired across the Nigerian airwaves.

The songs, reportedly banned by NBC are Olamide‘s “Wo” and “Wavy Level“; Davido‘s “Fall” and “If (Remix)“; and 9ice’s “Living Things.”

But in a chat, Mrs. Maimuna Jimada, the NBC’s Head of Public Affairs said she was not aware of any such list emanating from the NBC.

The Federal Government via the National Broadcasting Corporation, has made firm on its decision to ban Olamide’s anthem and hit track of the moment, Wo .

This is coming a few days after the Federal Ministry of Health had openly aired it displeasure regarding visuals to Wo. In its own opinion, the video portrays a bad message that encourages second-hand smoking.

However, NBC did not stop there as they also went further to ban four other hit tunes, Wavy Level by YBNL boss Olamide, FALL and IF by DMW boss, Davido and also Living Things by 9ice.

You would recall that Falz had earlier called out music acts who entertain lavish lifestyles and also fraud.

 Here's a burial poster of a couple; Late Mr Jonas Uzochukwu and late Mrs Chinyere Uzochukwu who died weeks apart after suffering from cancer and kidney problems respectively in Anambra state. The wife who hails from Ichi - died first after suffering from kidney problem while the husband who hails from Ndiakwu Anozie Uruagu-Nnewi - died weeks to his wife's burial after suffering from cancer.

According to people who know the couple, the husband had already written his tribute fro his wife prior to her burial not knowing he would join her. The couple were buried the same day in Nnewi area of Anambra state.

According to reports, the couple left behind six children.

BREAKING: Billionaire Kidnapper, Evans Wins First Case in Court

Justice Abdulaziz Anka of a Lagos Federal High Court on Wednesday ordered that the fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans against the Nigeria Police Force will proceed.


Anka gave the ruling while dismissing the objections of counsel to the Nigeria Police Force, Emmanuel Eze, during proceedings in Evans’ N300m suit.


The judge agreed with Counsel to Evans, Olukoya Ogungbeje that service on the first and second respondents in the case had been properly effected.

Kidnapper, Evans Was Also Involved In Crimes In South Africa, Fellow Associates Arrested

Ongoing police investigation of suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, has revealed that he was also involved in crimes in South Africa, it was gathered yesterday.

That is besides his alleged illegal procurement of a Ghanaian passport that bears his passport photograph but a Ghanaian name.

Police spokesman, Mr. Moshood Jimoh, told The Nation that the investigation has also led to the arrest of more associates of Evans who were found to be probably wealthier and living bigger than him.

Evans is spending his second month in police custody and is expected to be formally charged within the next one month, Jimoh said.
