Ugandan Billionaire, Ivan Ssemwanga Buried With Money (Photos, Video)

 Members of Ugandan businessman Ivan Ssemwanga’s Rich Gang on Tuesday poured expensive champagne and splashed money in his grave before burial.

The group, popular in Uganda and South Africa for its expensive lifestyle, sent-off their leader in a fashion that left mourners amazed.

They popped a bottle of champagne and poured it in the grave and shortly after started splashing money.

The floor of the white and black tiled grave was filled with denominations of Ugandan shillings, South African Rands and US dollars.

A video shared by Uganda’s Daily Monitor newspaper showed the gang members unmoved as the crowd jeered at the way they splashed money into the grave.

A number of suspects have been arrested over the grisly murder of military officer in Denkyira Boase in the Central Region, Ghana on Monday, May 29.

The officer, Captain Maxwell Mahama was lynched by residents of the Denkyira Boase Township on suspicion of being an armed robber. He was a military officer with the 5th Infantry Batallion (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra but on detachment duties there where he met his untimely death.

Actress,Bewaji Folashade Escapes From Her Kidnappers In Commando Style (Photos)

Nigerian actress Bewaji Folashade barely escaped with her life after she got kidnapped on her way from a movie location. According to the fast rising movie star, she got picked up by the men of the underworld and shoved on a bike, and then they drove off to an unknown location.

Speaking via chat she shared photos of injuries she sustained and tales of how she managed a commando escape..

"They kidnapped me at 10:20pm last night at Akinyemi street while I was coming from movie location at Akobo.

THIS IS HOW IT GOES LAST NIGHT.... Its got to a stage that I had to struggle with them on bike because they will still kill me when will get to final destination, my thought was it better they kill me where people can rescue my life to the hospital while we get to where people are. The bike fell I still struggle to fight them because they said we are going to Soka on express. So people heard voices and they started coming out that was why they ran away and God saved me."

According to a Facebook user, Four thieves raided an ultramodern complex in Abuja and killed two security guards at the new AYM shafa filling Station by shoprite, Apo, Abuja.

Ex-Director Of Ministry Of Finance Slumps & Dies At A Popular Abuja Club (Pic)

A retired director of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr. Emmanuel Ayodele , has died after slumping as he made to join his friends at Amity Club in the Garki area of Abuja.

Ayodele , 65, described as an active member, was said to have parked his car outside the club premises and was entering the facility when he fell.

He was reportedly rushed to the Sanklin Hospital, Mabushi where he gave up the ghost on Wednesday.

Arsenal Agrees £6.8m to Sign Nigerian Footballer, Henry Onyekuru

Arsenal have agreed a £6.8m fee with KAS Eupen for Henry Onyekuru, according to Sky sources.

The Gunners have been in talks with the Belgian club since last week and are now close to landing the 19-year-old Nigerian striker.

Although personal terms have not been sorted out, Onyekuru is an avid Arsenal fan and is reportedly keen on moving to the Emirates.

Onyekuru finished this season as the top scorer in the Jupiler League scoring 22 goals. He also attracted interest from Everton, Southampton, West Ham and West Brom. But it is the Gunners who have activated his £6.8million release clause.

He has already turned down moves to Belgian giants, Brugge and Anderlecht.

The player is currently on international duty with Nigeria, who take on Togo in an international friendly game on Thursday.

DSS Recaptures Nollywood Actress On Death Row Who Escaped From Prison

A condemned prisoner, Rabi Ismail, who escaped from lawful custody in Hadejia Prison on December 16, 2011, has been recaptured by the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Prisons Service with the support of men of the State Security Service, SSS.

The prisoner bearing number k/22c Rabi Ismail was sentenced to death by hanging for culpable homicide by a High Court in Kano on the 5th of January, 2005.

A Hausa film actress, Ms Ismail was subsequently held in Kaduna Central prison from where she was transferred to Hadejia prison before she escaped about 6 years ago.

 A car theft was reported at the Computer village. Man was caught inside a packed bus who was trying to start the bus but got caught in the process.

"I can't just believe someone can just walk in to a car with master key to drive out of computer village in broad day light publicly.

If not for God, But unfortunately was blocked as he was trying to start the the bus, the lady that has shop opposite where the bus was packed notice that someone is in the bus and she alert the owner of vehicle. The owner was shocked said "I locked the door how come he open the door."

We now drag him down..we want to beat him before, but one uniform man advice us to leave because he is not normal. I think they have beaten him somewhere before he came for this operation"

Kwara United Defender Who Died in Training Has Been Buried

According to the club’s Media Officer, Abdulwaheed Bibire, Azeez's death came as a rude shock to the club.
He said the cause of his death has however not been ascertained. Azeez has since been buried according to Islamic rites. Meanwhile the state government has issued a statement commiserating with the family of the deceased footballer. Read the statement below...
The Kwara State Government has commiserated with the family of the late Saka Abdulazeez a player of Kwara United FC who slumped and died on Friday 26th May 2017. A statement signed by the media officer Kwara United FC Abdul Waheed Bibire on behalf of government described the death of the young lad as a rude shock in-view of his contributions to the club.

Four Children From The Same Parents Born Blind In Edo (Photos)

A Nigerian man, Paulinus Okpere has called out for help for four children from the same parents born blind in Uromi, Edo state.

According to him, doctors conducted all tests on the children but were unable to diagnose the cause of their blindness, thereby advised them to seek the traditional means.

He said the Children were unable to cope in school as it was not designed for the visually impaired ones.

He wrote:

As promised, I travelled to Uromi this morning to see the children and their parents. I discovered that it was really true that they were born blind. According to the parents, they took the children to Otibhorkhai Hospital and Irrua Specialist where all test were concluded and nothing could be traced to the blindness.

Nigerian Professional Football League side Kwara United have been hit with an extreme blow on Friday morning, May 26, 2017, after the tragic death of Azeez Saka.

According to reports, the defender slumped and died in training at the Kwara state stadium complex and kicked the bucket while endeavours were been made to revive his life, in what has been a black Friday for the country’s football

Former Nigeria U20 and Kwara United coach, John Obuh additionally affirmed the player’s demise. Obuh said the Nigeria National League (NNL) team have cancelled training till Monday as a sign of regard for the deceased.

The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has taken over some bank accounts and properties traced to a former Special Adviser to Dan Abia, erstwhile managing director of Niger Delta Commission, NDDC, Mr. George Turnah . 

The confiscation was done on Thursday sequel to an interim forfeiture order  granted the Commission by a Federal High Court sitting in  Port Harcourt, Rivers State. One of the properties covered by the forfeiture order and which had been attached by the EFCC is a massive complete building known as “KOLO VILLA” in Kolo Town, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. Other properties will soon be attached.

Gov. Ambode Sacks Chaplain After Anointing Service For Disrespecting Governor's Wife

There is anger at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Lagos State, after the Presiding Chaplain, Venerable Femi Taiwo, was sacked by the Governing Council allegedly on the order of the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

It was gathered that Taiwo got the sack on Monday, May 15, without any query or official reason stated in the sack letter.

He was said to have been ordered out of his official quarters where he lived with his wife and two children within 24 hours of receiving the letter.

Despite pleadings from church leaders and other reputable elders in the church, the government was said to have insisted that the cleric must leave the church.

Moji Olaiya’s death certificate was issued in Canada yesterday (Details on her burial plans)

Yomi Fabiyi, the publicity secretary of late Moji Olaiya‘s burial committee has shared more details about her burial and return of her body to Nigeria.

 

According to the actor, Moji Olaiya’s birth certificate was issued yesterday and the government of Canada has also released her body to her brother a friend of the industry Mr Yinka Farinde for burial.
