Today, wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo was in attendance as Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode unveiled her grand-father, Chief Obafemi Awolowo's iconic statue in the state.

The huge statue is loacted at the intersection of Lateef Jakande Road and Obafemi Awolowo Way.

According to Ambode, 'Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s legacies and landmark achievements, have endured and remain a source of inspiration for progressive leadership in the country'.

He is not my mechanic. My mechanic of over four years is far from my house. This guy is just a walking distance away from my house. We see everyday as I drive out and in. We got acquainted over the years having realised we share the same faith. He is so passionate about God. I would sometimes stop by to gist.

We would talk politics, faith and life in general. He fixed very minor problems on the car ranging from replacing lose screws to greasing tight knots. Minor stuff. Tor... Two weeks ago he told me my 'silencer' was leaking and driving the car like that would cost me too much fuel.

Actress Uche Jombo Signs Deal With Oak Pensions Limited

Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo, has just landed herself another endorsement deal as the actress has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Oak Pensions Limited.

This new deal comes with the fact that the actress will need to help use her celebrity status to help promote Oak Pensions brand to her large fan base.

"I was beaten, molested, taunted, I only picked a bottle in self defence" - Suspended OAU Vice President Jacob Grace

Ms Jacob Grace, the suspended Vice President of students union of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has alleged that the Director of Socials, Afolabi Adedayo Emmanuel, battered her during an executive council meeting and she stabbed him in self defence.

Recall that on the night of September 5, the two students’ union exco members were seriously injured following a fight over the disbursement of N3.8 million given to them by the school's management for projects within the institution.

During the meeting, the executives offered suggestions on projects that needed attention but a disagreement ensued as a result and Ms Jacob, allegedly stabbed Emmanuel on his arm and he, in turn, headbutted her, landing her in the hospital. 

However, the 500level Law student, who is currently recuperating at a private hospital, disclosed that she was assaulted by Afolabi in the presence of other exco including the students union President, Oyekan Ibukun.

P-Square was a Nigerian R&B duo of identical twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye. They produced and released their albums through Square Records, managed by their elder brother Jude Okoye. In December 2011, they signed a record deal with Akon's Konvict Muzik and hit another fortune in 2012, when they signed a label a record distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa. Zimbabwean Soldier Steals Prostitute's Money & Phone After Sex; Gets Disgraced

According to H-Metro, a member of the Zimbabwe National Army knelt down begging for mercy from a hooker after stealing her money and cellphone in St Mary’s, Chitungwiza.

Ernest Taderera, 28, of Glen View was reported to have hooked up with the lady of the night only identified as Marble for a ‘quickie’ at her lodgings.

Taderera is alleged to have snatched Marble’s phone and stole the money he had paid to quench his sexual appetite and took to his heels forcing the latter to run after him Unclad around midnight.

Marble could not be out done in the marathon and Taderera found refuge at a house in Zengeza where he received instant justice from residents after they learnt his evil act from Marble.

Nigerian Housemaid In Oman Records Her Boss Abusing Her Sexually

A Nigerian housemaid has recorded her boss sexually abusing her in Oman. The unidentified lady secretly recorded the encounter and published it online.

The lady sent the video to an online platform with the following message;

"I was once a victim but I returned in peace, I can’t give even explain how I made it back I ve frds still suffering and crying for rescue.

I ve a video of one of d omani trying to rape Mr and that was my escape root home

In October I told an Agent I wanted to travel since my business was not moving well So he said there ve people in Oman looking for nanny and house help  So I agreed and paid him 400k D visa came out on 11th and I traveled on 19th of October 2016 I got to Oman save, a Philippian guy came to pick me up to me to a house I was locked up till morning So an Arab man came and took me to muscat D day I got there on my first night he’s eldest son came and wanted to rape me BT I was able to drag with me D guy keep coming every night So I complained to my agent cos my employees does not understand English just Arabic.

Boy Survives After Being Mauled By 2 Dogs Who Opened His Head. Graphic Photos

A woman identified as Mrs. Helen Udo has narrated a horrifying ordeal of how her son was bitten by two dogs three years ago. The thankful woman shared the story in appreciation for the little boy's survival.

Who said there is no God, Indeed there is God, for he said I will have mercy on whom I will have on and he had mercy on me. On 25th of September 2014 my son was bitten by two Rottweiler, and everyone thought the boy would not live, but that was when God took charge and gave that boy life in abundance. Nollywood actor, Friday Ugwu, better known as Okada De Don has died last night in a ghastly motor accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The producer who shot into limelight after producing and acting in the movie Okaka De Don, a popular comedy series, was crushed by a trailer which lost control, leaving his friend dead on the spot.

Confirming the incident, an official of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Benue State chapter, Gideon Ameh said corpse of Ugwu, a native of Orokam in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, has been deposited in a mortuary in Lagos

Popular music promoter and owner of TripleMG music label, Ubi Franklin's home was gutted by fire this morning. 

Ubi franklin who shared these photos of the burnt part of his home online, wrote;

"Thank you Lord for Saving me.
House on fire this morning. Thank God for everything.
Woke up this morning and my house was on fire. I had to do what I could to put it down."

Thankfully, no one was hurt and the fire has been put out.

He later revealed the cause of the fire incident in his home this morning started from a faulty AC.

Dino Melaye Celebrates The Obituary Of ‘Made-In-Taiwan’ Recall Exercise

Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has declared the process to recall him is dead as the petition has expired.

In a press conference, Melaye said he will not no longer be in a haste to take any further step on the matter so as not to be seen to have aided any party, especially the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in the continued blatant breach of the provisions of the Constitution.

He stated that the 90 days period, as provided for in the Constitution for conducting the referendum elapsed by effluxion of time on the 23rd day of September 2017. He cited section 69 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended to buttress his claim.

It was confirmed Psquare's Peter and Paul Okoye have finally split up after years of dominating the Nigerian music scene after obtaining an exclusive copy of the letter Peter sent to their lawyer - Festus Keyamo (SAN) on September 21, 2017, demanding out of the Psqaure contract.

Peter Also confirmed the sad development, saying; "Psquare is no more.

I have nothing against my brothers. I saw Paul's post on Instagram about blood being thicker than water.

Soldiers Ambush Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno; Kill Two (Photos)

On Friday 22nd September 2017, based on confirmed information, 202 Battalion, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, dispatched 2 ambush teams towards Feri-Feri and Tashan Goto axis in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. Both teams came in contact with suspected Boko Haram terrorists trying to cross and dealt decisively with them by neutralizing 2 terrorists and recovered 2 bicycles and 3 wheel barrows. The teams also canalized suspected Boko Haram terrorists while trying to circumnavigate the ditch at Shetimari, causing them to flee into the bush with gunshot wounds as traces of blood were seen during exploitation.

TROOPS RECOVER IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE ALONG BAMA-AULARI ROAD

At about 9.00am on Saturday 23rd September 2017, troops of 201 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army while on fighting patrol in conjunction Mobile Strike Team 21, discovered an Improvised Explosive Device along Bama-Aulari road. It was however safely detonated by the Explosive Ordinance Device team attached to the patrol team.

Famous Nigerian music duo, PSqaure have split up years after news of their first explosive fight hit the internet and this is sadly 100% true!

Here's what happened! Peter sparked speculation recently that all was not well with him and his twin brother/business partner - Paul after he referred to himself as Mr. P (his personal brand name). He also dropped cryptic messages on Instagram, one of it addressing how no one's opinion should matter about something that makes you happy.

In a video that is currently making rounds online, an unidentified man driving a Benz came out of his car, removed his clothes and ran mad for almost 3o minutes, and then quickly covered his nakedness.

He was reportedly later taken away by his friends in Lekki, Lagos.
