Nigerian veteran actor and dramatist, Joseph Abiodun Babatunde Adu, popularly known as JAB Adu, is dead.
A source close to the foremost thespian said he passed on in his Abeokuta, Ogun State home early Sunday morning.
He was aged 83.
While the detail of his demise still remains sketchy, the source said the man renowned for his role as ‘Bassey Okon’ in the popular Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Drama series, ‘The Village Headmaster’, has been contending with illness associated with old age.

Doyin Okupe Blasts Osinbajo: "You Lied In Church That Jonathan Built No Road''
Former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to ex-President
Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Doyin Okupe, on Sunday, described the recent
statement credited to vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, that no new road
has been built by government in the last ten years as "a lie and an
absolute falsehood."
While expressing regrets that the statement was made in a church, Okupe, who stated this on his Facebook page, said that the church has a role to play in politics and that Osinbajo was wrong in assertion.

Justice A.I. Chikere of a Federal High Court in Abuja today ordered
former Interior Minister, Abba Moro, former Permanent Secretary in the
Ministry of Interior Anastasia M. Daniel-Nwaobia and a deputy director
in the ministry F. A. Aleyebami to be remanded in Kuje prison custody
till March 2nd when their formal bail application will be heard.
Moro and two others are being arraigned on an 11 count charge ranging
from the abuse of procurement process and diversion of public funds.

Fayose Sacks Aide, Arrests Two Others Over Fraud
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has sacked the state's Internal Revenue Board,Ropo Ogunjobi over alleged fraud activities.
Ogunjobi was reported to have been relieved of his duties for negligence leading to an alleged fraud running into millions of Naira.
In furtherance, two other officials of the board, Omotayo Ojo and Akinniyi Akinsola, were reported to have been arrested by the police in connection with the alleged fraud.

Supreme Court Upholds Rev King's Death Sentence
Rev. King was sentenced to death by hanging in 2007 by Justice Olubunmi Oyewole of the Ikeja High Court, on a 5-count charge of murder. He set fire on seven members of his church whom he accused of fornication.

Very Graphic Photos Of Mother And 4 Children Slaughtered In Kebbi
On the 22nd Night of this Month, people of Birnin kebbi woke up with terrible tragedy in which five people were brutally massacred. All of them were females. Which include: the mother,
her two twin daughters and two other girls of ages 17 and 5 from their
neighboring house who came to stay with them. All of them were massacred
only the four month old baby that was at the back of her mother.
A mother, 35 and four children were murdered in their home in Bayan Kara Area of Birnin Kebbi, three female and a male, including 3 years old twins and leaving behind a baby of less than three months old.
The incidence was suspected to have occurred in the night of Sunday, but observed on Monday morning.
Gov. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi
State personally visited the site of the incident. He expressed his
disgust and agony over the heinous tragedy, which he described as a
tragic incidence.
While praying for Allah to forgive the victims, he thanked the team
of security experts for their swift response and also directed them not
to relent until they get the perpetrators of the crime.
