Robin Thicke And His Wife Paula Patton Split After Nine Years Of Marriage

The lines may be blurred, but Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are being very frank about their marriage, and it’s officially over. The 36-year-old “Sex Therapy” singer and his About Last Night wife have decided to call it quits after nearly nine years of marriage.

“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” Robin and Paula told People in a statement.

Robin and Paula were married back in 2005, but they met way back when Robin was just 14. They first connected in 1991 at an under-21 hip-hop club called Balistyx in Los Angeles — and Robin asked Paula to hit the dance floor with him.

The two have one child together, Julian Fuego Thicke, who was born in April 2010. No word yet on what will happen with the tot, but we’d expect them to share custody since this is an amicable split.

Robin, who has had a very successful music career since 1994, made headlines when he performed with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards for the “Blurred Lines” and “We Can’t Stop” mashup. As you probably know, there was twerking — and lots of it.
