Players and officials of the Akure based Nigeria Professional Football
League outfit were involved in an auto crash.
Sunshine Stars players and officials were involved in a fatal accident on their way from Ijebu Ode where they have been camping ahead their 2014 Nigeria Premier League opener with Enyimba of Aba.
The crash occurred in Ore, a settlement very close to Ondo town . Though no death was recorded, six players of the Akure Gunners were reported to have been hospitalized while four of the side’s officials sustained minor injuries.
