Behind the perceived shy nature of Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadiki a.k.a
Evans, the kidnap honcho who was recently arrested by the police after
an exhaustive five-year hunt, is his notoriety for deception, this
magazine has learned from a very reliable source.
Aside Evans’ obviously deep passion for luxury lifestyle, the source
said that he is also known for being very dodgy and elusive.
So far, the investigating security agencies have uncovered a lot
about this criminal suspect, including the discovery of two imposing
mansions worth several millions of naira at his Magodo residence, little
was yet known about his fashion routine.
This magazine has just found out how a large chunk of the cash made
by Evans in his illicit trade went into supporting his opulent
lifestyle; his patronage of first-class fashion shops.

A certain high class boutique located on Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos was said to be Evans’ favourite clothier
The place, the source described as ‘a touch of silk’ is one of the best fashion boutiques in Nigeria.
The source told us that Evans had since 2014 deposited millions of
naira with this particular boutique for some wears and never collected
them till his arrest three weeks ago.
There is also another high-class strictly suit place also on Allen
where the kidnap lord reportedly bought his suits. It’s initials are B.
S.
These two fashion shops, the source said, are where most Nigerian celebrities buy their choice outfits.
Also, we gathered that Evans’ jeweler is located off Allen Avenue.
The source identified the jeweler as a lady who is very popular with
Lagos celebrities who are her clients.
Though, Evans spends lavishly to look good and he is admired by his
suppliers for doing this, the source said that his sneaky and
manipulative ways often unsettled them. When he paid for items, we were
informed, he did not collect them on the appointed date, and when he
gave notice when he would collect them, he was indirect about his
location.
“He could ask his suppliers to bring finished materials to him at
Ikeja but when they got there, he would direct them to another location.
When they got to the second location, he would again ask them to meet
him at another place. And so on.
That was after he must have dumped the items with the suppliers for a long time,” the source said.
The source added that Evans, perhaps, due to the secrecy of his
illegal trade, is a man who keeps to time schedule. “He fixes time for
his activities and he does not exceed his scheduled time,” the source
noted.
Once, the source narrated, Evans visited his beautician’s place also
located on Allen Avenue, for pedicure. He reportedly gave a notice to
the attendant that he would not spend beyond 15 minutes. His legs were
still being worked on when it was 15 minutes. But he stopped the
attendant, wore his shoes, made payment for full job and hurriedly left
the place.
Evans barbed his hair himself, according to the source, and when he
didn’t, he barbed at salon located close to his Magodo residence which
houses a drinking bar where he took his beer. And when he finished
relaxing, he would pick cab to his residence which is less than
10-minute drive and paid the driver a high amount of money. He would
also not disembark in front of his house gate but at a distance and then
walked home.
Reliable sources also said that cars were rarely seen in Evans’
compound, which has now been discovered was a strategy to ensure he
wasn’t being trailed and avoid being trailed at all through car
registration.
Meanwhile, with the arrest of Evans and his lieutenants, police
sources said that security agencies have spread their dragnets in a bid
to root out kidnappers in Lagos and other states of the federation.
