A huge explosion is believed to have rocked the Turkish capital Ankara -
just days after an attempted coup in the country. But later reports
suggest that it was a fire in a large residential building.
The report emerged less than a week after a failed coup in Turkey
reportedly left more than 200 people dead. The government arrested
dozens of military officials were and fired thousands of workers.
The fire is now under control, Reuters cited an unnamed Turkish official as saying.
The state-run Anadolu news agency reported Tuesday that Turkey's media regulatory agency canceled all broadcast rights and licenses for any media outlets linked to or supporting the group the government holds responsible for Friday night's failed coup.
