My Husband Aborted My Pregnancy With Punches

A Lagos housewife told a customary court sitting at Agbado Oke-Aro recently that her husband as turned their home into a boxing ring and himself a boxer, using punches to abort her pregnancies.

Mrs Olayinka Uzamat alleged that her husband aborted at least three pregnancies she carried for him with punches, and this happened whenever they had a fight.

Olayinka, the petitioner on the case of divorce, said the husband, Azeez, always accused her of being wayward, saying he once vowed to kill her when they had a quarrel.

This came after the marriage had produced three children. She therefore urged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant her custody of the children.

But in his defence, Mr Azeez informed the court that he never raised his hands against his wife, because he loved her passionately.

The husband pleaded that the court should not dissolve the marriage for the sake of the children. However, he told the court that if his wife remained adamant, the court should grant him custody of the children.
