The crisis rocking the People Democratic Party further deepened
today as the party announced the immediate suspension of the membership
of its national secretary, former Osun State governor, Olagunsoye
Oyinlola. Also suspended were board of trustee members, including Sam
Jaja, Senator Ibrahim Kazuare and the chairman of the New People
Democratic Party (nPDP),Kawu Baraje.
Metuh stated that the case of the suspended members has been referred to the party's disciplinary committee for further action.
The spokesperson for the PDP, Olisa Metuh announced the suspension of the four dissents at a press conference in Abuja.

The panicky measure by the party followed threats by Oyinlola and
other to forcefully resume to work at the party secretariat today in
fulfillment of a court of Appeal ruling reinstating Oyinlola as the
authentic national secretary of the party.
Mr. Metuh claimed that the PDP had not received the court judgement
reinstating Oyinolola as the Secreatry of the party and therefore, could
not comment of its content.
