Governor Rauf Aregbesola has stated that frantic efforts are being made
by the state government to pay the salaries of local government workers
and primary school teachers by Friday.
Aregbesola who began paying the backlog of salaries owed civil servants this week said that he will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that workers receive their pay.

In post of his Facebook wall he wrote: “LGA workers and primary school teachers would get March and April salaries within the next two days, their outstanding will be two months. Its indeed trying times for us, may God see us through. Osun a dara,” he wrote.
He noted that the salaries of other civil servants and secondary school teachers is yet to be paid. “Further efforts are being made to liquidate all the outstanding salaries of Osun workers. As it stands now state civil servants and secondary schools teachers are owed six months arrears.”
