The Edo State Governor, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, will be getting
married to his fiancée, Miss Lara Fortes today, Friday, May 15, 2015 at
the Etsako West Local Government Council Marriage Registry, Auchi,Edo
State by 10 a.m. Shortly after the wedding, there will be a reception
which will take place at the People’s Hall, Iyamho, Oshiomhole’s country
home. In a signed invite to high-profile guests, Oshimohole said,
“While looking forward to the honour of your distinguished presence, I
sincerely crave your pardon for the rather short notice. Please accept
the renewed assurances of my highest esteem”. Oshiomhole is getting
married 5 years after losing his wife, Clara, to cancer in December
2010.
President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and his wife Aisha, former
Head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, former Vice President, Alhaji
Atiku Abubakar, the national leader of All Progressives Congress, APC,
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun,
Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State are among dignitaries expected
at the wedding.
