A
former Ekiti State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport
Workers, Omolafe Aderiye, was killed last night by unknown gunmen in
Ijigbo area of the state capital, Ado-Ekiti.
He was shot at close range in his office while eating with friends.
A source said his assassins dressed in Mobile Police uniform with
bulletproof vest came in a white car and immediately opened fire on
sighting him.
He died before medical attention could get to him.
Aderiye was a staunch supporter of the Governor-elect, Mr. Ayo Fayose, and took active part in his campaign coordination.
