Following earlier reports of armed robbery operation in Festac area of
Lagos this morning, a press statement has been released by the Rapid
Response Squad denying that claim.
We wish to inform all members of the public that we received several distress calls that there is a robbery operation going on in Festac Town right now.

Upon getting there, we discovered that it is not a robbery
incident, but a military operation to fish out the militants in the
area. We are happy for such timely information and look forward to more
timely information from you.
