How Top Yoruba OAP Died of Heart Attack

Popular Yoruba OAP, Opeyemi Fajemileyin has died of a heart attack. The respected radio host who was well known throughout the south west region and beyond, was reported dead on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

Not known to have been sick, let alone bedridden, Opeyemi’s blood pressure was said to have to have shot up while at work at Unique FM radio station where he was general manager until his untimely death. 

Among his popular programmes are ‘Fajemilehin on FM’, ‘Pirilolongo Nji’ and Fajemilehin on the Rock’ which was broadcast on Paramount FM 94.5, Abeokuta for years. 

Born in the mid-fifties in Igede Ekiti, he attended both primary and secondary schools in Ekiti State and Ikire in Osun State respectively and was also notably an author, administrator and award winning broadcaster....
