Power Outage At Murtala Muhammed International Airport In Lagos Paralyzes Flight Operations

A SECTION OF THE AIRPORT

Twice last night the  entire Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos suffered massive power outages leading to disruptions in flight operations at the airport. The power outagest happened twice according to a journalist, Ahmed Salkida, who witnessed the blackout.

The first blackout which happened at 7:45pm lasted for two minutes. A second one started at 8:06 PM and went on for a very long time.

 Salkida, who a passenger on a Dubai bound Emirates flight said the boarding went on in complete darkness as the airliner deploys torchlight to assist customers to get on board.
