Earlier this week it was UNILAG, now it's UNIUYO - however that of UNIUYO resulted in loss of lives....
How it all started...
The students waged a peaceful protest in the early hours of today to complain about the transportation problem they were
having at the school.
However, on arrival at the Vice Chancellor's office, the security officials there tried to stop the students from seeing the Vice Chancellor.
In the process, things got out of hand and students began throwing stones at security...police was called in, but by then, the protest had escalated into a riot.
The police who were supposed to restore calm, further sparked up the fire by firing shots at the students - killed one, injured three.
