Multiple eyewitness reports reaching us say bureau de change traders
were attacked by armed robbers around Murtala Muhammed International
Airport, Lagos, at about 7.30 Wednesday evening.
Armed policemen arrived moments after robbers attacked traders and travelers around MMIA, Lagos.
One of the robbers was shot dead during the exchange of gun fire
between the police and the robbers at the Murtala Muhammed International
(MMIA).
It was gathered that the armed robbers numbering over 10 came into
the airport through the terminal zero and proceeded straight into the
arrival and departure halls of the terminal.
On entering the terminal, the armed robbers ordered all the users of
the airport to lie down while those who refused to comply were shot.
One of the robbers was reportedly killed.
The injured are said to be receiving treatment from the airport medical team.
