President Ebele Jonathan and former American president Bill Clinton will be in Lagos today to launch the multi billion naira land reclamation project along the Bar Beach coastline called Eko Atlantic City.
Also expected are state governors, ministers and other dignitaries
Eko Atlantic will be a new home to 250,000 people and the workplace
of another 150,000. The ten square kilometre development will have
waterfront areas, tree-lined streets, efficient transport systems and
mixed-use plots that combine residential areas with leisure facilities,
offices and shops.
Lagosians mostly on the Island, please plan your day as many Victoria Island roads will be blocked.
My worry is that why is it that when Jonathan comes to Lagos most roads are blocked? Lagos is a traffic state and during his visit most roads are blocked. Is it that Lagos traffic workers can not plan are organize traffic?
I remember in December when he came to Redemption camp, Third Mianland Bridge was closed for an hour because Jonathan wants to pass through the bridge. This only happens in African countries.
