Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti a human right and pro-democracy activist, who died 10 February 2006 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos.
It is now seven years since the activist's demise, but Beko is widely
remembered for his contributions to the the pro-democracy struggle
against military rule, following a laying of wreathe at his tomb, members of the
Nigerian
Civil Society proceeded for an anniversary lecture in honor of the late human rights campaigner.
Beko is the younger brother of afro-beat musician Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
