An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded last night in the Bayan Garin
area of Bauchi. The area is famous as a hub
of social activities and is the location of numerous bars and
restaurants. It is also favored by prostitutes.
Several residents told a correspondent that they
heard a loud explosion in Bayan Garin area, but they were just too
afraid to get out of their houses.
